ahw Engineers in Handorf intend to contribute to the diversity of species. Whishing for a close to nature and insect friendly rearrangement of the outdoor facilities, ahw Engineers addressed the NABU and already had an on site meeting to review the opportunities around the office building. As a first step Aline Förtser, scientific contributer at the NABU conservation station Münserland, delivered six nesting aids for tits and sparrows to Maike Bröskamp and Alina Kohn from ahw Engineers on Wednesday the 7th of April. These are now being installed on the roof and in trees around the building. Furthermore bat cases and fassade nesting boxes for common swifts, insect hotels and seed for a wild flower meadow have been ordered. Thus the company ground appears as an oasis of biodiversity in a besides strongly sealed and nature distant setting.
