Inauguration of Wiehagen Primary School at Werne

On 23.11.2019 the official inauguration of the Wiehagen Primary School at Werne took place, where numerous guests of honour took part.
Teachers and pupils feel very comfortable in the newly constructed modern building. A special feature of the building is the
self-supporting dog-leg staircase that climbs over 2 storeys which is made of exposed concrete. The staircase is supported only
at the edges of the ceiling. Indirect lighting of the wooden balustrade of the staircase emphasises the uniqueness of the staircase.
The new building, for which ahw Ingenieure GmbH has worked on the structural design, costs € 10.5 million.
